If you had to choose a favorite activity/experience at Drew, what would it be and why?

My favorite experience was being a part of the Drew Girls Varsity Basketball team. I was able to be a part of a team, grow as a person, and learn to be a leader. 

 

What is one of your favorite classes - any project examples?

Anatomy and Physiology - patient simulations (real life emergency room situation) and dissection (sheep heart and pig brain).

 

What are you passionate about outside of Drew?

I am really passionate about baking and opened my own business out of my house. My business is called Mikayla Bakes and I bake goods for different nonprofits. I have raised more than $1,000, which was donated to multiple nonprofits such as Stop AAPI Hate, La Purisima, and Iglesia Misionera Yo Soy.

 

What are your plans post-Drew?

I am planning on attending a 4-year university next year, majoring in biochemistry. Through college counseling, they helped me brainstorm, revise all my essays, and kept me organized through the whole process.
